Roger Yasukawa was born in USA, but grew up in Japan and Italy. His father, being involved in Formula 1, made Roger get acquainted to the racing community. In 1990, Roger raced in both USA and Italy in the Kart Championship. He became the Formula Dodge Western Series Champion in 1998. Rookie of the Year of the Barber Dodge Pro Series in 1999. In 2003, he becomes a full time IRL IndyCar Series driver. His passion towards American Style Racing is a strong one. Continues as a IndyCar driver with two Top 10 finishes in the Indy 500. Becomes the Asian Driver to race in the Indy 500 the most. Roger also started to Daytona 24 Hours race, as well as is coaching at the Skip Barber Driving School and a personal coach for a Ferrari Challenge Cup racer. |
