It has been a up and down day for both Ryuichi Kiyonari and Yukio Kagayama on race day at Oulton Park.

Kiyo, starting from the 6th grid, makes a good start in Race 1.  However, mechanical trouble forces him out of the race.  However, he records the fastest lap of the race, and starts Race 2 from Pole Position.  Rain starts to fall at Oulton Park before Race 2.  All riders opted for wet tyres, however, rain stops before the start, making it a hard condition to race in. Kiyo drops to P5 after he goes straight through in the chicane.  However, he manages to work his way up again, and finishes 4th.

For Kagayama, it has been an unlucky day.  In Race 1, Kagayama finds clutch trouble at the start and drops drastically to about P20.  He finds himself in a pack of riders slower than him, but could not move.  As he enters turn 3 in the opening lap, someone hits it from the rear, and forces Kagayama to crash.  He hits his back hard, and was transported to a hospital for further examination.  This makes him withdraw from Race 2. Kagayama is still at the hospital waiting for the results of the examination.  He is awake and alert.
