After retiring from his career at the 24 Heures du LeMans in 2010, Hideki Noda has decided once again to return to racing. He will be steering the Hitotsuyama Racing’s Audi R8 LMS in the SuperGT GT300 class.
Noda went into preparation for the opening of Noda Racing Academy High School (http://www.noda-racing-academy.org) in Motegi, Japan. This school is a racing school together with regular curriculums of a Japanese high school. Part of the school is scheduled to open this coming April.
At about the same time, Noda has decided to accept the offer from Hitotsuyama Racing to race the Audi R8 LMS, a FIA GT3 car. He will be returning to racing since 2010, and his return to the SuperGT Series since 2005.

“After retiring from racing, I have been working hard to open the Noda Racing Academy, and now it is very close from it. I am looking forward to the day when we send out superb students from the Academy.
Now, I have decided to return to racing with Hitotsuyama Racing, where I have raced together in 2006 and 2007, and won the Championship with them. I believe that my decision relies a lot of the outstanding I have with them. It will be two years since I last raced, so I have worries if I can perform in my full capability, but I hope to commit to the team with “The Spirit of Challenge”. My position in the team as a leader, would also help me in my school. The passionate letters from my fans, wanting me to race again was also a big factor in making this decision”
