Sunny sky and warm temperature greeted the fans that came to watch the second round of the British Superbike Championship at Thruxton.

Race 1

Kagayama who started from the 4th grid, made a relatively good start and entered the 1st corner in second position. The race week has been good to Kagayama, and this race was no different.  He takes a lead about halfway into the race and drops to fourth.  However, he takes 3rd place again.  The top two riders has already widened the gap, and his race towards the end was a battle with two other riders.  Kagayama finishes 3rd.

Kiyonari starts from the 13th grid, but makes it up to 9th place in the beginning of the race.   Not satisfied with his race set-up, Kiyo could not pace up.  He finally finishes the race in 9th place.

Race 2

Kiyonari, who started from 5th position, moves up to 4th place in the first lap.  Feeling good about the set-up this time, he goes and takes 3rd.  However, right after this, a rider from the back takes his inside, and Kiyo is forced out of the line, which drops him to the 11th position.  From there on, Kiyo, making great laps moves his position upward.  He finally finishes in 4th, missing the podium with only a 0.034 second gap.
