Kagayama hasn’t been back on this circuit since 2003, and in his first practice session, he took some time to remember the track.  He finished the session in 13th place with the best lap being 1’17.525.  As he got used to the track, his improved his best lap to 1’16.112 in the second session to finish 7th.

Kiyonari recorded 1’16.889 in his first practice session.  He tried a set-up change in the afternoon session, which he did not like.  He was 15th in the session with a lap time of 1’16.631.
