Concentrating on the grid

For Hiroyuki Kikuchi, the 2010 season will be a season to defend his back-to-back GP125 Championship in the Japan Roadrace Championship.  The class has changed its name to “J-GP3” class with a mix of 2 stroke GP125 and 4 stroke  Prototype machines (4 stroke 250cc engines in a GP125 chassis).

With the only one qualification session, Kikuchi, despite minor problems, managed to finish 7th with a laptime of 1’01.239, which was far from his best here in Tsukuba Circuit.

There were minor problems to be solved, however the problem stayed for the race. After the green flag, Kikuchi would jump up to 5th place.  However, the problems he had would not allow him to contend for the lead.  He fell back to 7th, and finished in that position.
